In the early sixties a man named Stan Bozowski built the first Bozowski Family Racing mount and raced it at famed places such as East Windsor, Flemington, Langhorne and Harmony among others.  Winning features to make enough money to continue racing was the name of the game back then and Stan held his own until a violent flip at Flemington convinced him to hang up his helmet.

But the seed had been planted...

His Nephew, "Big" Gary Bozowski, set out to continue the Bozowski Family Racing tradition.  With no funding to race on his own, Gary turned to working at the speedways to feed his need for speed.  Eventually he became the infield and safety director for East Windsor and New Egypt Speedways, with many drivers owing their lives to the safety innovations he made and the selfless acts he performed at the speedway to ensure their safety.

What he didn't know was he was passing the racing tradition on to his son Tony...

Tony Bozowski sought out to make a mark in the sport as large as his fathers.  Starting at a young age he acted as a crew member, crew chief, chassis builder and engine builder for many drivers racking up over 50 feature wins in places such as East Windsor, New Egypt, Accord, Orange County, Syracuse, and Fulton as well as others.  He worked hard to make sure he understood all aspects of racing including chassis set-up, fabrication, shocks and engines.  His career would make a huge turn as he was able to compete as a driver for his first full season in the Super Stock division at New Egypt Speedway, finishing top ten in the season long points race and winning a feature in his first full season behind the wheel.

But the story continues in a big way...

Meanwhile, a new star was emerging from Bozowski Family Racing.

At the age of three, "Lil" Gary Bozowski was diagnosed with Leukemia.
The Bozowski Family went into action and at the age of seven "Lil" Gary
was well enough to strap himself behind the wheel of a quarter midget
for the first time.  In a short time with the help of "Big" Gary Bozowski and
his father Tony, Gary has racked up nine A-Main wins and over fifty top
five finishes in only a short period of time.  Showing his natural ability and
competitive nature, he also landed in the top ten of both divisions in the
regional season long points standings.  "Lil" Gary prefers to run in what
is considered the toughest divisions in Quarter Midgets (Senior Honda
and Light 160) and looks forward to competing in a third division next year, World Formula.

With the birth of BFR Motorsports and Gary's mounting success, 2009 looks to be a great year for all of Bozowski Family Racing!
